Skilled, qualified individual needed to provide daily service and support for network related equipment, Microsoft Windows based servers and desktop computer systems. Must be professional, personable, and self-motivated. Possible travel within Texas and other U.S. locations.
Duties:
On-site support of client related hardware/software, LAN/WAN and Application/Web servers. General oversight of day-to-day network operations. Installation/configuration of hardware/software, performance monitoring and management, problem resolution, desktop and network administration.
Candidate will communicate with management on issues and maintain client contact to determine needs and requirements. Frequent contact with vendors concerning products and services. Analyze problems, determine appropriate solutions. Assist in short and long range planning for server systems. Maintain system documentation, configurations and updates. Operate helpdesk software and respond to trouble calls as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong 5+ years experience supporting Microsoft Windows based network environments and desktop/network administration experience in Windows 2003/2008 and/or XP/Vista/Win7 Operating System environments. Hardware/software deployment and upgrades, maintenance, OS configuration and scripting. Comprehensive router level TCP/IP configuration experience. Solid experience with network hardware including servers, switches, hubs, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
Excellent customer service, verbal/written communication skills, ability to handle heavy call loads while maintaining outstanding customer satisfaction. Ability to work well under pressure, complete tasks, meet deadlines. Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills on both small office network and enterprise level server systems. Proactive, independent team player. Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies. Microsoft certification a plus.
